Which time tool fits?
Choose by the question: how much time is left, what focus phase comes next, how much time elapsed, or when several places share one instant.
The quick comparison
| Question | Tool | Result |
|---|---|---|
| How much time is left? | Timer | A countdown to zero. |
| When do I focus or rest? | Pomodoro | A four-round focus-and-break cycle. |
| How long did it take? | Stopwatch | Elapsed time, laps, and splits. |
| When can everyone meet? | Time Zone | One instant across up to five places. |
Use a countdown when the endpoint matters
A countdown starts with an allowance and moves toward zero. It fits a break, classroom activity, cooking step, or meeting block. Mallow Timer derives remaining time from a fixed finish time, so a delayed background tab does not silently add time.
Use a stopwatch when there is no planned finish
A stopwatch starts at zero and answers how long an activity has taken. Laps capture the current interval while total splits keep the full elapsed time.

Comparing wall-clock labels is not enough when dates, UTC offsets, or daylight-saving rules differ. Pick one instant, review every local date and time, then share the plan or export an ICS file.
